Nelson Arts Festival
Nelson is renowned in New Zealand for its vibrant artistic culture with many of the countries top artists residing here. The Nelson Arts Festival celebrates the strong presence of artists and craftspeople in the region by presenting a programme of events that identifies and commends them. Visitors and residents to the region will delight in the Nelson Arts Festivals programme. As the festival grows there are increased opportunities to provide a wider programme. This year the range and depth of the programme is the best yet.


Suter Art Gallery
The Suter Te Aratoi o Whakatu is New Zealand's third oldest art museum and celebrated its centenary last year. The Suter occupies a building of historical significance, has an important art collection, and is a gateway to the region's arts and crafts.
